I am into the third season as manager for these boys last season we
finished runners up in division 3 of under 18’s in the league .I have
transformed this team from a mid division team to a very good side. They
are a great bunch of kids all respecting me as I respect them. This summer
I have gone about strengthening the team in areas such as midfield and in
goal. The team captain has been ROBERT SMITH until 2007/08.last year and
this season our captain is LEWIS BRYANT, who is someone who has the same
passion and drive as myself. ROBERT SMITH is also the team’s top goal
scorer with over 150 goals for the team in the past 5 years. We have a
great set of parents that turn up rain or shine to support the team. I
find that managing this team has been one of the most enjoyable times I’ve
had and when they come to leave boys football they will be sorely missed.
Last year I took all the team to Wales for a weekend which turned out to
be great learning experience for myself and the team, the boys who came
really enjoyed it and the parents that came had really sore heads every
morning. This year will be our last year of youth football and I hope that
we can go out with a bang by winning the league and the league cup. I am
